MedSail is a unique annual weeklong marine medicine conference designed for physicians, health care professionals and persons active in aquatic sports and recreational boating. The course is jointly sponsored by the Wilderness Medical Society, which provides category I CME credits for medical professionals. Conference participants may enroll without seeking educational credits at a reduced fee. Our goal is to help seminar attendees understand the nature and treatment of common injuries, ailments, and medical emergencies encountered in the marine environment. Whether you are the ship’s physician, nurse, or medical officer, a sailor, scuba diver, sea kayaker, white water paddler, snorkeler, angler, or powerboat enthusiast, this course is for you. We promise to make it fun and exciting. We will explore the British Virgin Islands in a flotilla of crewed catamarans, and individual charter boats. The sailing will be easy and relaxed, appealing to inexperienced and seasoned boaters alike. Each morning, we will have a seminar ashore, and then have the rest of the day to sail to a different anchorage with stops along the way for diving, swimming, snorkeling, sightseeing, hiking or just relaxing. Join us for this exciting and outstanding educational opportunity in a stunning tropical paradise.
